When Aaron Border and his wife, Stacy, chose to become foster parents, they had no idea how that decision would completely change their lives. Evans, abandoned as an infant and rejected by so many, had lost hope of ever being wanted. The Border family is shocked to face Evans anger and fear of rejection. The upheaval of their once tranquil family will cause them to wonder if they are up to the challenge. As each new obstacle confronts them, their future becomes fraught with questions. Are they cut out to be foster parents? Will Evans ever be able to trust? Is he really beyond acceptance?

I am raising a 7-year-old child who has a similar background. We are making progress, but the issues are complex. This film gave me insight with such clarity. It has made me more mindful of how people's behaviors toward him influence his flashbacks of his violent early years. I found myself responding to the characters with advice for comforting the child. I will ask all future children's workers and therapists to view this film while working with TJ to understand him better. With so little material available regarding attachment disorders, I anticipate this DVD will quickly rise in popularity. Thank you for making this DVD. I wish you the greatest success. --Narla B., Virginia
