Genesis: Eden Is Still in Our Blood - A Sweeping and Poetic Look at the Beginning of Man's Relationship with God
Based on the first book of the Bible, The Book of Genesis is a sweeping and poetic look at the beginning of man’s relationship with God. While Jochebed (Venus Monique) hides in a shelter to protect her infant son from being murdered, she tells him the story of her people over the course of a dangerous night.
Interweaving the stories of patriarchs like Adam, Abraham, Noah, and Jacob as if their lives were lived simultaneously, this inspiring movie explores the common thread of how those characters interacted with God and how mankind will one day return to the place where we started. However, the journey back to Eden will be filled with hardship, beauty, and a desperate need to trust the Creator.
“Genesis” is a powerful dramatic telling of the first book of the Holy Bible. It begins with the creation of Adam and Eve and shows their first experiences as they enjoy the nature of the new world in which they have arrived. Adam takes deep breaths and enjoys the water. A voice-over says that God wants to bring us back to Him, following the fall of man. Other biblical stories are mentioned or acted out, including Cain and Abel, Abraham and Sarah, Jacob and his ladder, Noah’s ark, Joseph’s story, and Abraham’s near sacrifice of Isaac.
